Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is a Colombian actress who was born and raised in Barranquilla. Margarita Vergara Davila De Vergara works as a domestic worker. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He provides cattle for the meat business. She is one of five sisters. She attended a private bilingual Spanish/English school. When she completed her dental school, Sofia began to work in the modeling and television industry. Sofia was found by a cameraman on the beach and began working in the field of television and modeling. Models were already runway-ready aged 23. Co-hosted the travel program Fuera de serie (1996) from 1995 until 1998. The show brought her attention to American audiences. Her debut film appearance was in the crime comedy Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett was the role that made her an established star on Modern Family, an American show on television (2009). In this role, she was nominated for four Emmys between 2010-2013 for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Sofia has a home in Los Angeles with her son Manolo.
